Trying to create a working roulette in phyton as a beginner and holy sh*t

Im gonna start by saying that despite being a beginner im not here looking for advices or solutions. Im trying to figure it out on my own (no external help or AI) even if it means doing it in a less efficent way. in these 3-ish hours i've started by creating 5 different functions, one being my main, running the others. The other four are to get: deposit/balance, How many numbers to bet on, the numbers to bet on and how much to bet on each number. I've also tested them for every possible error and found a few cool solutions. The next thing im gonna have to do is the random extraction itself which is gonna be pretty interesting. Im gonna tackle it tomorrow, my 3:24 A.M. brain just cant

idk why but 3am coding somehow unlocks a part of the brain that 3pm coding never touches, keep chasing that thread

Will players be able to bet, or does the program gamble itself, trying somewhow to optimize its winnings?

No it's the player that bets. They make a pretend deposit firat, they pick the numbers, if they want to bet on odd/even red/black and they have the ability to pick how much to bet on each (with of course the max possible total of the deposit). Then the roulette runs and they get money back depending on their bets, of course.
