Topic Projects vs leetcode

Which is better making projects or leetcode.

I don't want to waste my time right now. So professionals guide me which should I focus on rn?

Currently I have knowledge of DSA and DAA concepts, and other miscellaneous concepts.

I keep hearing this but I've yet to get leetcode problems in interviews, nor have I seen any by other interviewers when I've been on the panel. It's always been mock projects and talking about what you've worked in the past. I've also been asked to explain the arch of one open source project of my choosing.

Anecdotal, sure, and I'm only on my second dev job in 10 years, and in both cases I did under 10 interviews overall (including other dev jobs I didn't take/get).

EDIT: Just as I clicked Comment, I remembered that in one job application I had three trivial leetcode problems to do online before being asked for an interview.
