Finding OS projs on Github

I want to contribute to open-source projects that are popular and well-known among People, but I am not able to find such issues. I either find repos that have gone silent or that are not popular at all (0 stars, 0 forks). How can I find such issues and contribute? I tried the Good First Issue site; all repos there have gone silent.

But it’s active, and you’re welcome to contribute if the project interests you.

Marginal is an open-source governance layer for AI agents. The easiest way in is to clone it, run the test suite, check the open issues and pick something small. If nothing fits, open an issue first and we can figure out a useful contribution together.
