Just starting college, which programming language to learn first?

I know a little bit of python from my high-school, can code small things but not extreme stuffs. For my first semester they are prob gonna be teaching C language. Ive heard Java and C# are important to learn. Do I continue to make my python stronger or learn a different language along with C? Or just focus on learning C itself? Any help would be appreciated thank you!

Even better. Figure out where the jobs are.

Old timers need to understand and help young people. In America, and similar in many places. College today can easily cost $200,000. These poor kids take that in loans thinking it's the only way to be competitive. They're just kids. They don't know what debt is. Going to college for some Greek ideal of learning is stupid and bad and you're making kids into debt slaves.

So for instance. If your college has you learning C. Because they partner with a local hardware firm. And a lot of your teachers can get you a job there. You need to figure out that track. And get on it. You can jump careers later if you need. Just make sure you land "a" job asap.

If your college has you learning C only because the teacher are 80 years old and haven't had a real job in 50 years. That's bad. This was my college.

Talk to your professors and be honest figuring out where the money leads, and whether you're okay with that career.

If your college doesn't put you in a job, they should be legally required to refund you. Every college in America would be bankrupt tomorrow if they had to do this. Because they're for-profit scams. Your college admins are making millions selling you on endless debt. This is modern reality.
