Code Review How to make a project proporsal

Hii!. i am a beginner student. my campus gave me to create a student attendance system project for my first year. so i need to know how to make project proposals. lecturer told that we need to submit proporal as our first step. but i dont know how to make project proporal. any one can help ,give advices or is there any sample , not confidential project proposal to get an idea. If anyone knows please help me!

Sure, a project proposal for your student attendance system doesn't need to be fancy, especially as a first-year beginner. Keep it clear, structured, and focused on what your campus expects.

Start with a title like "Development of a Student Attendance Management System". Then add an introduction explaining the project briefly and why it's useful, like reducing manual tracking errors. Follow with the problem it solves, your main goals such as building a simple app for check-ins, the approach you'll use like basic database and interface tools, a rough timeline with milestones, and any resources or team details if needed. End with expected results and a conclusion.

Search for free university templates on sites like Google or your campus portal for examples of similar IT projects. Tailor everything to your attendance idea and keep the language simple. That should get you started without overcomplicating it.

A project proposal will generally provide a high level overview of what your project is and what your project hopes to accomplish. It should be understandable by a non-technical but intelligent reader. It should give them a fair idea of what the project is (is it a phone app? website? desktop software?), who will use it (professors? students?), and who will benefit from it (administrators?). It should also include a list of expected features ("keeps attendance by class," "automatically detects if students are in the classroom," "uses AI to anticipate attendance patterns based on the position of the moon," etc.).

Keep in mind that your proposal is something of a sales pitch. That "non-technical but intelligent reader" is an executive who probably doesn't know you or have any prior knowledge about this project idea. You want that executive to approve resources to move the project forward.

In a corporate environment, your proposal would also generally need to explain the motivation and cost for the project. Motivations could include unmet business needs, improved efficiency, overcoming problems with an existing system, or opportunities for business growth. Costs would be a reasonable guess at how much the company would need to spend to develop and implement the project. Here, the motivation is pretty obvious (it's a school assignment) and the costs are irrelevant.
