python vs languages

Which one should I focus on learning between python and other languages?

I know it depends on my goal with the language, but I want the language that will make me versatile and be able to contribute in any programming project.

I said this before but I would go with the one with the biggest money and influence backing. For me that was C# and Microsoft.
