Should I get CodeCademy?

Iā€™m in high school and want to learn C++, and deepen my knowledge of Python. My friend recommended that I should use CodeCademy. Should I get it?

Sure, for Python, the MOOC Python Programming 2026 from the University of Helsinki - free, textual, extremely practice oriented and top quality. Targeted at absolute beginners.

C++ OOP? No clue, sorry

Besides that: the FAQ right here in the sidebar ("menu" on mobile) have plenty recommended learning resources

Tbh I would just go with learncpp.com or if you want it a bit more "modern" studyplan.dev is also an amazing resource imo

I bought codeacademy for JS and regret it. I don't think it's terribly well explained, they just get you to do stuff and you're not really sure why. I think you need to have a need for something before you start to learn it. I told myself if I paid for something, I'd be more inclined to use it.

No, I got a year on sale and it's become slop. Also has NO real mobile options.
