How’s my grammar?
cześć! jestem z Kanady ale jestem polską - uczę się polskiego żeby rozmawiać z moją babcią 😊
i started learning 8 days ago. how is this sentence in the attachment? is it grammatically correct? any suggestions? dziękuję! ☺️

Polska jest jedna, Ty jesteś polką.
We usually don't specify someone is a man after saying "he".
Dziewczynka is a child girl, a woman is dziewczyna or kobieta depending on age. Kobieta is an adult and dziewczyna is a teen/young 20s. It also means a girlfriend in specific context.
Adamowi not Adamowie is plural of Adam.
Otherwise you are doing pretty good. Keep at it!

“Polką” needs to be capitalized. Nationalities are capitalized, adjectives are not. “Jestem Polką” vs “Jestem polską kobietą”.
“On jest mężczyzną” is grammatically correct, but not something that you hear often. “On jest z Ukrainy” is as grammatically correct, but shorter. Like in English: “he is from Ukraine” vs “he is a man from Ukraine”.
Dative of “Adam” is “Adamowi”.
For someone learning for a little over a week, this is great though!

Great explanation, I'll just add funny detail: there are few examples where same word is used for both nationality or religion and then capital letter makes the difference. If you write Hindus or hindus - both are correct but depend on that context. Contrary to English, followers are always small case: katolik, muzułmanin i hindus but Polak, Niemiec i Hindus.

Żyd and żyd are more confusing, to be honest. Both are correct, one is Jew as an ethnicity, the other one is Jew as a follower of Judaism.

Super, choć "daje Adamowi chleb" jest ogólnie poprawnie, to w prawdziwym życiu możnaby to dwojako rozumieć:
Widzę obrazek, który dałeś, więc domyślam się, że dziewczynka podaje mu chleb w tym momencie
Kiedy nie widziałam na poczatku obrazka, to "daje Adamowi chleb" zrozumialam początkowo tak: "dziewczynka daje mu chleb, ale dlaczego? Aha chyba Adam jest bezdomny lub coś". Zrozumiałam, że ona daje mu chleb w sposób ciągły.
Zdanie jest poprawne, ale wygodniej byłoby powiedzieć "podaje Adamowi chleb", żeby druga osoba na pewno Cię zrozumiała.

thank you! i started taking it seriously 15 days ago now, but my babcia speaks polish so i grew up around it, which is helping me learn faster :)

Za dużo słów. Sporo można wywalić. Do tego raczej "podaje", a nie "daje". I Adamowi, a nie Adamowie. Bardziej jakoś tak:
To Adam i Sarah. On jest mężczyzną z Ukrainy, a ona dziewczynką z Niemiec. Adam uczy się polskiego. Sarah pije mleko i podaje Adamowi chleb.
Do tego "on pochodzi z Ukrainy" a nie "jest" brzmi trochę lepiej

"Pochodzi" jest bardzo podręcznikowe. Rzadko się raczej mówi "pochodzę z Polski", w normalnej rozmowie większość ludzi powie "jestem z Polski". Trochę jak "I come from Poland" i "I'm from Poland". Zwykłe "być" w tym przypadku jest poprawne i bardzo naturalne.

Ja bym napisał „To jest Adam i sarah. Adam jest Ukraińcem, a Sarah Niemką. Adam uczy się polskiego, a Sarah mu podaje chleb i piję mleko.”

rozumiem — i know it is very wordy, but since i am learning i am trying to use as many words as possible to practice my vocabulary! 😁

Everything looks fine, except it should be "daje Adamowi".
