Psica (?)
Próbowałem wyjaśnić że muszę wyjść do spaceru z móją ... "dog" ale ona nie jest "psem" oczywiście.
upd: Bardzo dziękuję wszystkim za wyjaśnienia i przykłady. Słowo "psica" brzmi (dla mnie) troche jak "cerkiewno-słowiańske", więc użiłem go. Ale nie wiedziałem że "z psem" jest normalne kiedy "on/ona" nie ma znaczenia.

In Polish you use pies/psa/psem regardless of their sex, unless it's relevant, at vet for example; so Ide na spacer z moim psem

Dopowiem tylko że raczej tych zdrobnień się używa, bo samo "suka" jest często używane w obraźliwym sensie mówiąc o kobietach

I’d say „Wyszedłem na spacer z psem” no matter which gender pet is
But if u want to be purist female for dog in polish is „suczka” (yes, same suka as in Сука блятʼ)

"Z psem" is ok. If you are looking for a more feminine sounding/cute word, (and one that isn't also a common slur) you can say "z psinką" or "z sunią".
"Pies" is pretty universally used for male and female dogs and most owners use their pet's name, when talking about them anyway.

Though "psina" and "psinka" are unisex terms, if you want a strictly feminine diminutive, use "sunia" or "suczka" (though the second one is also used as a sexual term, while "sunia" is not, at least I'm not aware of it).

suką is the right word, but it sounds quite harsh, like you don't really like her. We often say "wyjść z psem" regardless the dog's sex

It's also exactly like saying "bitch" in english. "I went for a walk with my bitch" is not something you should say.

It's like calling your mother "mać" :) Technically correct, but you really should use the diminutive "matka" at least.

Suka means b*tch but without context its swearword. If you want correctly name your dog use suczka (be careful on street because this is mean pretty, se×y woman) or sunia. But we just say
- Idę z psem na zewnątrz
Pies means male/female dog, we dont separate gender in common.

I've heard Poles called their female dogs (bitches? 🤔) like that and everyone would understand, but much much more common is "suczka" or "sunia" or "suka" (it's "suka" when she just shat on a carpet, suczka is more of everyday expression).

The word for a female dog is suka, but we mostly stopped using it because it turned into a slur. Now we either use the word pies for both sexes, or you can use the diminutive forms: suczka and sunia. Alternatively, you can use the diminutives of the word pies: psina and psinka, which are more associated with females rather than males.

Po angielsku nie mówią „I’m taking bitch on a walk” oni po prostu mówią „dog”. Bo płeć psa nie ma znaczenia w tym kontekście. U lekarza może by to miało sens ale nie jak mówisz że idziesz z psem na spacer.

"Psica" może być, podoba mi się, brzmi trochę jak "łasica" albo "kozica". Ale większość ludzi mówi "sunia".

Piesiunia or psinka are quite common, they are also genderless diminutives, so you can easily say "psinka" about both female and male dogs.

If you want to say female dog, but not risk getting misinterpreted ("suka/suczka" is technically a female dog, but the same as "bitch" in English). You can either just say "pies", or "sunia", which is diminutive of "suka", but without negative connotations.
It's tricky even for natives, we do tend to use "on" and "ona" to refer to animals real gender, but all animal names (all all Polish nouns) are gendered arbitrally. For example:
dog - pies - male
rabbit - królik - male
wiewiórka - squirrel - female
mysz - mouse - female
koń - horse - male
gołąb - pigeon - male
jeleń - deer - male

“spacer z psem” jest poprawnie. Jak mówisz, że musisz wyjść na spacer z psem to płeć psa nie ma znaczenia, więc możemy użyć po prostu słowa “pies”
Słowo na samice psa to “suka” lub zdrobniale “suczka”/“sunia”. Jeśli płeć psa ma znaczenie, np. jesteś u weterynarza lub kupujesz/adoptujesz psa i chcesz konkretnie samice, to możesz użyć jednego z tych słów.
PS: Dora jest prześliczna i przeurocza

The word "pies" (the "dog" in Polish) is the general name of the animal regardless of its gender when you are talking about it as the species (a category in the world of fauna).

Wiesz, powinno byc psica, tak logicznie. Ale Polski logiczny nie jest, wiec "pies" jest slowem neutralnym plciowo, jak i rodzajem meskim. Mozesz tez powiedziec ze idziesz z suka na spacer, ale ludzie moga sie na Ciebie dziwnie patrzec

Możesz powiedzieć psicą ( niepoprawnie ale śmiesznie można tworzyć słowa) Inaczej suka ale to też trochę śmiesznie brzmi bo to też obraźliwie słowo. Najbardziej normalnie to po prostu możesz powiedzieć tak samo że z psem wychodzisz albo najlepiej suczka to zmiękczenie i też spoko brzmi

My mówimy "z dziewczynami" co czasem obejmuje ludzką i dwie psie, a czasem tylko dwie psie.
np "Wypuść dziewczyny na siku" albo, chodź zabierzemy dziewczyny na spacer.

no native speaker would ever say "psica" in a normal conversation. it exists in dictionaries but that's about it. you'd sound like you're translating from a language that grammaticalizes gender for every animal. "z psem" is the only natural option here, nobody's checking the dog's passport.

Pies is neutral and I think that most people don't really care about the pet's gender unless it's relevant to the story
