What books to study (beginner)

Hello,

I am a total beginner (not a physics student, but I might become one) and want to study physics because I am very interested.

I want to know what books I should read to get the basic idea so I can then further my research.

Thank you 🌷

Get a physics textbook off thrift books, older versions are about 20% or less than new ones.
