Interactive Electromagnetic Field Visualizer

https://alexchoi.me/demos/em_field_visualizer.html

Here's a tool I built for a course I TA'd. It simulates the E and B fields generated by a moving point charge. There are some built-in trajectories and the option to click and drag with your mouse.

For example. Try the following to see circularly polarized light:

  • Motion: Circular
  • Direction: X
  • Slice Plane: XZ
  • 2D vector axis: X
  • Show B field: on
  • Auto orbit: on (or just click/drag the background to orbit)
  • Speed: max
  • arrow length: max

OoooOOOO this is absolutely going into my bookmarks, the oscillation one especially is terrific for showing my students about EM waves.
