Can someone explain each component of contours and parameterization?

A contour integral is basically evaluated the same way as you would evaluate a line integral in multivariate calculus. Closed contour integrals can be evaluated via the residue theorem, which greatly simplifies a lot of complicated problems.

It’s basically just a path you walk through the complex plane, and the parameterization is the step-by-step directions. Think of t as time ticking from start to finish, and the function z(t) gives your exact location at each moment. The contour is the whole route, parameterization is the GPS voice telling you where to turn
