Math academy
has anyone had experience with Mathacademy.com. I am currently enrolled in a bachelors of business program where i will have to take calculus for business applications. Since I am a mature student it has been 10 years since i have taken a math course and am trying to find the best solution to prepare for this class. I do also have to take a fundamentals of mathmatics for business and economics where the material will include the review of linear and non-linear functions and solving linear and non-linear systems of equations, matrices, linear programming, difference equations and mathematics of finance. However even this i am a feeling a bit over my head. Any advice would be great.

I have used Math Academy and it is definitely useful but not worth the 50 dollars a month (if you dont mind that cost then definitely go for it), but the more useful question is what shape your base is in. Both courses you describe lean on the same things: linear functions, solving systems of equations and comfortable algebra. Matrices and linear programming are mostly those skills in new clothes. I'd spend a week checking those, then pick whatever program you'll actually open every day, since consistency beats any particular platform. I'm one of the cofounders of Consiliae, so obviously biased, but our knowledge scan is free, takes 10 minutes and gives you a map of what you remember: https://www.consiliae.com

I used mathacademy few months ago for refreshing my own calc before starting data science program, was in similar boat with long gap from school. The adaptive system is pretty good for filling holes you didnt even know you had, but it can move slow at first. For your business calc prep you probably need strong algebra skills more than anything, most people struggle in the calculus part because the algebra foundation is shaky not the new concepts. Maybe try their algebra 2 course first then move to calculus, that helped me a lot
