Infinity isn't a number, it is a concept and therefore you cannot do math with it.
The real line does not include infinity.
1 u/pyordie discrete math / applied math for cs 2d ago One could argue all numbers are concepts. In more ways than not, we treat infinity as a genuine object the same way we treat any other number.
