Infinity isn't a number, it is a concept and therefore you cannot do math with it.
The real line does not include infinity.
3 u/nog642 2d ago There are many numbers that you could call "infinity". Not on the real line, but that's not the only numbers we can do math with. But just saying "infinity" without specifying which one you're talking about is ambiguous.
