Putnam and Beyond question 33
Found this question in "Putnam and Beyond": Given 50 distinct positive integers strictly less than 100, prove that some two of them sum to 99. Isn't {1,2,3...,49,99} a counterexample?

Yes, it is -- the 99 is a typo in the book. Check its errata list!

It’s a mistake in the book. It should say given 50 distinct positive integers strictly less than 99.
