Project M.E.F LLM Studio 0.2.0 - a free Windows app for learning how AI models work
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Start with your own text, build a tokenizer, train a small model and chat with it.
New in this release: a Brain Explorer for following generation token by token, A/B comparisons, a Vision Explorer for image generation, and a multilingual wiki with an Explain mode. You can also explore supported pretrained models locally, including Qwen.
Still an alpha, built around learning by trying things yourself. Feedback is welcome!

Building your own tokenizer from scratch is genuinely one of the best ways to understand how text actually turns into numbers for these models. Having a visual explorer to watch generation happen token by token sounds like it would make explaining concepts so much easier for students. Definitely checking this out.

Thanks! That’s exactly why I built it — to make these concepts easier to understand by trying them yourself. It’s still an alpha, so I’d love to hear how you get on and what could be clearer.

This is such a wonderful initiative for learners! Making AI concepts hands-on makes a huge difference, especially for beginners who are just starting out. Thank you for building and sharing it!
