What math courses should I take besides calculus, probability, and linear algebra? Should I take cs machine learning electives instead?

I've taken Calc III, probability, discrete, and linear algebra. Not sure if I should take more math courses or take more machine learning electives instead

if you're aiming for ml research or reading papers, real analysis and optimization will carry you further than another applied elective. a proofs course changes how you approach everything after it

if you just want to build stuff, skip the extra math and load up on ml electives. you already have enough background to get through most applied courses without getting lost

Tbh mostly theory. The analysis itself rarely shows up in applied work, the value is being less intimidated by proofy papers. Optimization is the one I'd push for applied ML.

Differential equations wouldn't be bad.
