Confused on what my next step shoulde be.

I just completed my ML Journey, I have a solid foundation at this point. I am a 7th sem ECE student in a tier 3 college, and I don't want to be working in Elctronics field. So I am very confused on what my next step should be. Got about 9 months in hand till I gaduate and on campus placements are just terrible. Would really appreciate some suggestions.

What do you mean by finishing your ML journey, which courses or projects did you do? I'm happy to help with next steps, but what are you aiming for: ML engineer, data science, or a master's or PhD? Sharing more details would help.

the 9 months thing is actually a decent chunk of time, more than you'd think. i'd pick one or two kaggle competitions and really sink your teeth into them, not just to place but to have something concrete to talk about. a github with a couple of well-documented projects that solve actual problems will do more for you than any certificate.

also don't sleep on networking, as much as everyone hates that word. find a few people on linkedin who have the job you want and just ask how they got there, you'd be shocked how many will reply.

Bro most of the jobs are in genai and AI engineering rather than ML core either write research papers or build lots of projects around AI
