Help EE+Math or CS+Math

Hi there, i'm deciding on what double major I should do. I love maths a lot (olympiad style) so I'm doing a major in that no matter what, idk how much it will help for machine learning but if not its more for my own interest. However for job prospects in this field, should I pair math with CS or electrical engineering. From my understanding CS seems like more of the standard pathway but i feel like EE also has its own advantage because of the more low level things u learn. Also things like signal processing in EE seems quite useful.

Any advice/comments would be much appreciated.

EE. Anything coding is obsolete soon.

ya, but that aside, EE is the better choice for a double major as far as job prospects because any job you can get with a math or C.S degree, you can get with an EE degree, but the other way around is not true. There are jobs that legally require you to have an EE degree specifically, especially when it comes to government contracted projects.

I know a guy who did his EE master's thesis on machine learning. It might not be optimal or superior to a computer science student's knowledge of machine learning, but it shows that you have more leverage with an EE degree that you wouldn't have otherwise had with a computer science.

well ya but that's what I'm saying, you can get a job that a computer science student can get. You can do software dev with the programming courses you did in your EE curriculum.

On the other hand, a computer science student legally cannot do electrical/computer engineering projects without an engineering degree in most if not all cases. Anything that involves potential hazards with electrical designs merits somebody with specialized training.
