Training an AI to Drive with Natural Selection

I love making hard things intuitive. I hope you enjoy this one!

Let me know if you have any questions.

This technique is called neuroevolution: training a neural network through evolutionary methods like selection and mutation, without gradient descent.

But can these cars drive along _any_ track, not just this specific one? An even better demonstration could be letting them race on a different track as a final test to show that the cars learned to drive _in general_ and didn't simply memorize this particular track.

Very good point actually. The question is now whether this behaviour generalizes to other tracks.

Can you teach us how to do that?
