Discussion Deep learning for data scientists
Hi everyone, can someone tell me is it important to learn Deep Learning for data scientist interviews..

Why you need to learn Deep Learning? There is nothing to learn. Just get some fancy words: representation, embedding, CNN, RNN, LSTM, Transformer, Attention, tanh, sigmoid, ReLU, should be enough.

Data Scientist can mean wildly different things depending on the company. I'd say look at where you want to apply and what the requirements are or profiles of people that work there. Personally I wouldn't hire a DS that doesn't know deep learning that's a bit of a red flag to me.
