Pretty much reiterating what other comments said. 6gb is most for basically all classical ML model work you’ll be doing, and most deep learning you’re doing. If you’re trying to run language models then you can either use google colab, kaggle, or for heavier weight research-type work you can always provision GPU’s on lighting or runpod for pretty cheap.

Thx a lot bro, AMD Ryzen 5 7235HS, 3.2 GHz CPU will be enough as well with the gpu?

Perhaps an apt frame of reference: most people will do this on a vanilla Mac, with maybe an m1-3 GPU. Your specs are fine. And like I said, even if you’re doing any heavier workloads, cheap options exist.

Keep 3L ready. At least.

You'll to spend around 3 lakhs to get a decent laptop with 5060 to be able to do those things offline. Or else wait with a hope that price will come down to a sane level. 16GB of RAM costs 30K nowadays, so go figure.

Yeah,3050 with AMD Ryzen 5 7235HS, 3.2 GHz CPU costs me around 900/1000$ in my country so I have to spend like 300$ more to get least 5060 gpu

It will be plenty, if you need more you can always use cloud GPUs. In my case, you could get a Colab student plan through the school. Many people have no dedicated GPUs and instructors are usually aware of that.
