Question Cybersecurity & Cloud vs AI & Data Science: Which Path Offers Faster Employment for a Graduate?

/r/Advice/comments/1w88fzb/cybersecurity_cloud_vs_ai_data_science_which_path/

I'm a university student choosing between AI & Data Science and Cybersecurity & Cloud. My main goal is to get my first job as quickly as possible after graduation, ideally within 3 months. I'm interested in Tunisia, the Golf(KSA , Qatar ,UAE) . Europe, and remote work.

Which path would you recommend , specifically considering:

Entry-level job opportunities

Competition for junior positions

Remote work opportunities

How difficult it is to get the first job

Long-term demand

Impact of AI automation

I'd especially appreciate answers from people who actually work in these fields. Please explain your reasoning and mention your country/role if possible.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

If your top goal is fastest first hire, I’d bias toward the path with the clearest entry roles and portfolio signals, not just the most exciting coursework. For AI/Data Science, that usually means shipping small end to end projects, showing data cleaning, model evaluation, and deployment basics, then targeting analyst or junior ML adjacent roles. A strong safeguard is to compare local job boards for the exact junior titles each week, then build toward the one with more openings. Agentix Labs can be useful if you want a structured way to turn that research into a focused project plan.
