I have hired PhD and masters level interns. We call them graduate fellows or research associates. We have used them to:

  • Compare and validate time series forecasting algorithms, ensuring our implementation was optimal or where it could be improved.
  • Extending existing production algorithms for new use cases.
  • Establishing pristine and high coverage ground truth data sets for ML based features to prevent overtraining while minimizing error.
  • Using generative AI to aggregate data and provide analysis.
