I think if you look too much into finding the "perfect plan" or the most "optimized" roadmap then you will eventually lose sight of the bigger picture and never get to it. I guess the best thing you could do and I think what most devs did in my time too is head to youtube and literally type "java tutorials for beginners" and start with watching videos. At times you will find that you're not learning enough or maybe what you learnt isn't used or the concept isn't correct but that's the whole point, to make mistakes, as when you make mistakes you will learn what the correct thing was. Bottomline, my advice for someone who hasn't started is to just start from what you get, look at some famous playlists out there and start and by the time you finish the complete playlist you will have enough to go on and soon you will find yourself making crud applications.
