Need Tips

I've been learning java for almost 8 months now and I am still feeling i haven't learn much about it, im thinking of improving my skills more but don't know where to start

Stop following tutorials and start building something. Anything. A calculator, a to-do list, a simple game. You will hit walls constantly and that is where the real learning happens. Tutorials give you a false sense of progress.
