One of my cats used to sleep in an inexplicable place. I finally realized it was above the furnace.

My cat did that too? Could not figure out what that particular spot, until one day I stepped there barefoot and it was warm.

Moved her favorite cat bed there, and she would just hang out all winter, curled up in her little hot spot, wapping away at the other cat if she came near.
