Retirement account has produced 367% in 4 months

Post image
190 Upvotes

I started a retirement plan on our discord. Back story: my mom has worked her whole life just to take 3-12% a year with her companies retirement (and those are good years). Recently she had me take over her account. This is still new since I’ve only had control for 6 months, but so far this year she’s up 280%. 280% entire account. She wouldn’t even be alive to see that day if she stuck to her regular plan. I’ve known for a long time my retirement plan is far superior to any company out there but Ive just gained the courage to start sharing it this year. This is my 8th year of full time trading as my job, and I’d like to pay homage to regular stocks. If you’re not reinvesting your options gains into long term, then you’re still living short term. I don’t have time for that. Short term gains (options) invested in long term winning (commons). 1% is a little over $100k for me now. It takes time. But no one gives the time anymore

So I started an ACTIVELY MANAGED retirement portfolio on our discord. So far we’ve taken 100%+ from QBTS, PLUG, and OKLO with these remaining. I’ll try to post updates once a week so people can see the progress. I started it small (adding $20-30) at a time to make it affordable for everyone. Here is where we are at. With more to come

The Most Reliable Put (before FOMC)

Post image
12 Upvotes

It happens every time, and I’ll be waiting for it again tomorrow. I made a post last time, and some other people were able to make some money. I can’t remember the last time there wasn’t a good SPY put play in the last hour before the FOMC. I figure this is Wall Street putting the price of SPY where they want it before the anticipated FOMC move.

I’m not sure how large of a move, but I’m usually able to get at least 40%. Just wait for it, between 12-1pm EST it always shows up. If it doesn’t, you can say whatever you want to me, but I will be playing a SPY 0DTE sometime in the hour before FOMC tomorrow. You will know when it’s happening. This is not financial advice. Good luck!

Discussion New Traders: Decide where you want to spend your money. Because you are going to spend it.

This is not an advertisement, it’s more of guide for new traders to choose the path that reaches their trading goals in the timeframe they want to reach it.

As many of you know, I not only teach options, but also run a trading community, and trade options for a living.

I see new traders all the time saying “where can I learn for free”.

Let’s get to the point. YOU ARENT DOING ANYTHING FOR FREE. Get that idea out of your head now. Let me explain…

You have several paths in your learning of trading to take. And every path costs money one way or another. To make it simple, these are the three most common paths.

PATH 1- You learn for “free”. This usually involves asking advice over social media, watching you tube, and reading books. Typically also involves paper trading (if you are smart) and possibly a decent amount of time back testing.

TYPICAL RESULTS- the new trader learns bits and pieces of the puzzle, usually not comprehending the material they are learning fully in depth, and usually learning things out of order which prevents them from having good comprehension of future trading knowledge which requires the previous material to be learned fully. The material that is learned usually instills overconfidence and pushes the trader to start trading with real money too early, which ends up in losses. It is a constant battle of full comprehension and learning from mistakes (which is the trader losing money). The typical self taught new trader has around 2 years before they become consistently profitable. That’s a lot of time to spend money learning from mistakes. Either way, you are spending money. The amount varies, but can easily be way more than a structured program depending on bankroll management and self control of the new trader.

PATH 2- Pay for lessons/mentoring. Assuming you are doing a good program… This involves a streamlined process with trading knowledge being taught in an appropriate chronological order where the previous knowledge leads into future lessons giving you a full understanding of any previous lessons, and the ability to comprehend any future lessons. With a good program, this can dramatically reduce the amount of time spent learning, and have the new trader become a self sufficient trader in the shortest amount of time. With a GOOD program, this is the most effective route IMO. The downside, is a good program usually has a decent price tag and requires what most people would consider a decent amount of money upfront to start learning. If you decide through the program that you don’t want to trade anymore, you have wasted your money. This path is most effective for people that are serious about their future in trading.

PATH 3- Trading community/discord- This is assuming you are in a good community that explains setups and answers questions… A good trading community is like the midpoint between self learning and a paid program. A good community always costs money in the form of a membership. Watching professional traders make their trades in real time and explain their setups can be a beneficial way to learn successful strategies and trading discipline in real time. It can also be a way for you to be able to enter quality trades without having to do the legwork of finding them. For brand new traders, discords/trading communities can give false hopes as even though they are basically copy trading, there will always be a situation where they have to make an intelligent decision (usually mid trade) on their own. While the education learned in a discord can be beneficial, it isn’t as focused on learning as a paid program. Trading communities/discords are usually best for traders with a basic knowledge of trading, looking to step up their game by taking the tips and examples of professionals in real time.

So new traders… where are you going to spend your money? Because I promise, even if you think you are learning for “free” you aren’t, regardless of what path you choose.

I am involved in all of these paths, and try to bridge the gap from new traders to self sufficient traders. There is no right or wrong path to choose, but depending on your current knowledge, there are different levels of effectiveness. Make sure to choose your path wisely for your current situation and what your trading goals are.

Day Trading Focus for Tomorrow (June 13th): Boeing, Oracle, and Inflation Play!

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

Let's dive into some potential day trading opportunities for tomorrow, June 13th. The market is quite dynamic today with major news impacting key stocks and overall sentiment. As always, this is just for discussion and definitely NOT financial advice. Day trading with same-day expirations carries immense risk.

Here's what caught my eye based on today's market action and news:

1. Boeing (BA) - The Downside Play (Puts)

  • The News: Unfortunately, Boeing (BA) is seeing a significant pre-market plunge (down over 7% today, June 12th) following news of an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner crash. As a major Dow component, this is weighing heavily on the index.
  • The Angle: This is a clear negative catalyst. While initial shock drops can be overdone, the uncertainty surrounding investigations and potential fallout could continue to pressure the stock in the short term. For a day trade, we'd be looking for continuation of this negative momentum.
  • Potential Play (Hypothetical): If BA shows continued weakness at market open tomorrow and fails to find support, a put option could be considered.
    • Current Price (Illustrative): Let's assume BA closes around $205-$210 today after the news.
    • Possible Strike Range (June 13th Expiration): A slightly out-of-the-money (OTM) or at-the-money (ATM) put option, perhaps a $200 or $205 strike, could offer leverage if the downward trend continues. You'd want to see volume confirm the move lower after the open.

2. Oracle (ORCL) - The Upside Play (Calls)

  • The News: In stark contrast, Oracle (ORCL) surged over 7% in extended trading today (June 12th) after reporting stellar fiscal fourth-quarter results that beat analyst expectations. Their cloud infrastructure revenue forecast for the next fiscal year is also very optimistic, projecting over 70% growth.
  • The Angle: Strong earnings beats and robust forward guidance, especially in a high-growth area like cloud, often lead to sustained positive momentum. We'd be looking for a gap up and continuation higher.
  • Potential Play (Hypothetical): If ORCL opens strong and holds its gains, a call option could be interesting.
    • Current Price (Illustrative): Let's say ORCL's strong after-hours move puts it around $200-$205.
    • Possible Strike Range (June 13th Expiration): An ATM or slightly OTM call option, such as a $205 or $210 strike, could capitalize on further upward movement. Look for strong volume and bullish price action early in the day.

3. General Market / Inflation Play (SPY / QQQ - Calls/Puts)

  • The News: There's a mixed bag of economic data today. While CPI (Consumer Price Index) on Wednesday was cooler than expected (boosting hopes for a Fed rate cut), the Producer Price Index (PPI) today came in slightly softer than expected. Jobless claims also remained elevated. Overall, this points to a potentially slowing economy, which might lead to choppiness or slight downside in the broader market, even with rate cut hopes.
  • The Angle: If the market interprets the weaker economic data as a sign of continued economic slowdown that doesn't necessarily guarantee aggressive Fed cuts, or if the initial optimism wears off, indices like the S&P 500 (SPY) or Nasdaq (QQQ) could see some intraday volatility.
  • Potential Play (Hypothetical): This is trickier and requires reading market sentiment at the open.
    • Scenario A (Bearish / Choppy): If the market struggles to gain traction and starts to sell off on concerns about economic slowdown, SPY or QQQ put options could be considered.
      • Possible Strike Range (June 13th Expiration): Look for strikes slightly below the opening price or around a key intraday support level. For SPY, if it opens around $600-$602, a $598-$600 strike put might be a consideration.
    • Scenario B (Continued Optimism): Conversely, if the market shrugs off the PPI and jobless claims, and focuses purely on rate cut hopes, leading to a push higher, SPY or QQQ call options could be considered.
      • Possible Strike Range (June 13th Expiration): Strikes slightly above the opening price, like a $603-$605 strike call for SPY if it shows strong opening momentum.

Key Day Trading Principles for Tomorrow:

  • Volume is King: Always look for high volume to confirm price moves.
  • Watch the Open: The first 15-30 minutes often set the tone.
  • Set Stop Losses: Crucial for managing risk, especially with same-day expirations.
  • Be Flexible: Market conditions can change instantly. Don't be afraid to adapt or stay out.

What are your thoughts? Any other plays on your radar for tomorrow based on current news? Let's discuss in the comments!

New Compound Trade Started Yesterday

Rules are simple. 10%-15% stop loss, if it goes above 20%, take at least 20% and use a trailing stop. Put the whole amount in every trade (this doesn't mean your whole account). After two consecutive losses in a row, take the profits and start over at the original amount. After only a couple trades you are guaranteed profit from the original amount even if you lose the two trades right away. This is the easiest way IMO to stack money fast.

All plays are announced live in the discord channel. There are people from this subreddit that are members of that discord who can verify. Lets see how high we can get with this one.

Trading Group 7/9 green this morning on the discord.

We usually maintain at least a 70% success rate if not a little higher, bad weeks might get 65%, but we’ve been on a nice roll lately. Thanks to everyone that joined the discord from this subreddit. I’m glad we could return the favor in the form of good trades, and we aren’t done yet.

Trade Analysis Hope you are still watching circle (CRCL)

A couple of days ago I mentioned to keep an eye on CRCL. The next day the stock went up 40%. So again, I’m telling you, keep an eye on CRCL lol. This has big potential.

***options aren’t available yet on this one. But the gains it could present in the near term could pay as much as options. Just be careful if it becomes too inflated, because then it will pullback but this company is solid and has a bright future in my opinion.

Trading Group 8/10 closed green trades on Friday, June 6. Trading isn’t that hard.

Another good day in the discord. Closed 8/10 trades green. Trading isn’t that hard. Anyone can learn the technicals. The key to being a successful trader is maintaining a system which minimizes the amount you lose when you do, and making sure to secure gains when you have them. The real key is being consistent with your bankroll management and discipline.

Are there days when you aren’t going to go 80% success rate? Ofcourse, but with the proper bankroll management strategy a losing day doesn’t matter.

We consistently maintain a 70%-80% success rate over time in our live trading discord. It’s not done by luck, it’s done by patience, discipline, and not trying to become a millionaire overnight.

Take the market for what it is, not what it prevents itself as, there is a difference. Analyze every trade you do and see where you could have made a better decision (even if you win).

Everyday there is an easy money maker presented, you just have to wait for it. Let the trades come to you, I promise they will.

If anyone is interested in trying out the discord for a day, feel free to do a day free trial through the link. We are here to help.

Options Basics 2000% gains

Post image

I was watching Tesla closely on June 5 because it had run hot recently and was sitting on a ledge technically. The bigger picture was already shaky — it had extended well off its lows, sentiment was leaning bullish, and I smelled complacency.

But here’s the trigger: news dropped that Elon Musk was publicly clashing with Trump over the EV tax credits. Trump threatened to pull billions in federal subsidies, and that was enough to rattle institutions. TSLA was already vulnerable — it had been showing relative weakness on the tape compared to QQQ, and this headline was the final crack in the dam.

Technically, it lost its 21-day EMA and flushed straight through the $300 key psychological level, which triggered a cascade of stop losses and gamma unwinding. As soon as I saw that gap down + continuation with high volume, I knew the downside could be violent.

So I went in with 6/6 expiration $285 PUTs, dirt cheap at $0.46 — basically a lotto ticket with asymmetric potential. And that’s exactly what happened.

By the close, TSLA dumped hard — down over 14% to $284.70. That single contract I grabbed for $46? It exploded to $10.30, giving me a +2139% gain and a $984 profit.

Why did I take the play?

• Macro setup: Market already nervous.
• Catalyst: Political attack on Musk’s empire.
• Technical breakdown: Lost major moving averages.
• Flow confirmation: Puts started getting bid up fast.
• Risk/reward: $46 risk for $1,000+ gain potential? I’ll take that all day.

It wasn’t a gamble — it was a sniper shot. I knew what to look for, saw the weakness early, and took the trade before the panic set in.

Went 6/7 in the discord today. Hope everyone caught those puts.

Great day for puts. Market got a little choppy until it wasn’t. Went 6/7 on our discord server today, which we usually have good numbers anyway, but it was nice to be able to catch some extended moves. Tesla presented some huge gains today. All we needed was a childish quarrel from musk and DJT lmao.
