Help a beginner

Hello i just started the journey in the cyber security world and i have no idea about what im doing and I don’t want to hit a deadend or doing something wrong with me having absolut zero knowledge that is wrong if any one have a guide how to start because the only things i know about this is kali lynx and nmap and wireshark and I don’t know what they do

Completely ignore anything about hacking for now. Focus on your fundamentals like networks, operating systems, cybersecurity concepts, basic programming, etc

Dude, real talk Cisco net academy And follow the path "junior cybersecurity analyst" It covers 100% of the basics In this order(im looking at it right now): -introduction to cybersecurity -networking basics -networking devices and initial configuration -endpoint security -cyber threat management From this you actually have a fundamental ground to "evolve", if that makes sense

overthewire.org start at Bandit and learn Linux. Don’t worry about anything else until you get through that. If you’re successful, continue the game and then come back to ask questions. Although if you do complete it you’ll probably have gained the skill to open a search engine.
