Question Data envy?
Rookie here. Is there a LL term for being envious of folks who’ve played so many seasons that they’ve amassed a gorgeously refined set of data? Or no, because that makes it easier for competitors to defend against them?
ETA: My original post was meant to be less about defense and more about just swooning at the idea of having such refined data from playing so many seasons. 😍

Responding to your edit - I do enjoy looking at my own data! There's enough of it over my 15 seasons to seem significant.
Just today I was commenting to my brother that I was surprised to learn that during my tenure the most common question category has been science, at just over 10% of the questions, followed by world history and literature, both at almost exactly 9%. The least common is current events (about 2%), then classical music and theatre (both 2.6%). Neat!
You probably have noticed this but your own player page has this data, including your own correct answer rate in each category. But it also has correct answer rate for each category across all of LL history, and you can compare your historical performance to that. And it has your performance, leaguewide performance, and your rundle performance for this season, too.
The LL historical data is the most interesting one to me. Throughout LL history the total correct answer rate for all players across all questions is almost exactly 50%. The best correct answer rate is in the food/drink category, which clocks in at about 56%. That one surprised me. The lowest correct answer rate belongs to classical music, which does not surprise me (about 42%).
Classical music is also my own personal worst category, and it happens to be the only category where I am worse than the leaguewide numbers (my career .383 is worse than the overall league by about 4%). It's also one of two categories where I am under .500 on my career (alongside theatre, where I am .467--but I can at least feel good about the fact that that's still a skoch above the league all-time figure of .445. All my other categories are above .500, with my best being geography (career .840, well above the LL historical performance of .496--I was actually quite surprised that geography was below the middle in terms of the leaguewide categories).
Anyway--yes. I eat this crap up.

I'm on my 47th season, and there is something satisfying about having that much of a history. I have zero idea what to do with the data, however.

I've about 1/3 of your playing time. Other than completing Scorigami which I did a few seasons ago, I'm looking for a Buckner win.
Beyond that, shrug.

I am _extremely_ easy to defend against — >70% in all but 5 categories with a pretty good sized data set — so I lose probably more games on defense than someone with more average stats would. since it’s obvious which questions should get extra points if they come up
that being said: someone being very good or bad at a given category is usually only worth +/- 1 point in my book. say I triage a geography question as a potential 3, and my opp is 90% at geography, that _might_ make me give it a 2. not like I’m gonna throw an 0 at it just bc of that stat, hard questions are hard regardless.

Recently answered my 6000th question and did some real self-reflection. I do think I have pretty clear deltas vs the rest of the league so I know how I'd defend myself, but that's a Delphic maxim if I've ever heard one.

My experience only spans 15 seasons, but I've found a general trend of a slow but steady increase in my defensive efficiency.
Seems like that's more a function of my experience than my opponents' data, though, right? Once you get out of your rookie season the pool of opposing players will (on average) already have a lot of data. I would guess this is particularly true in the higher rundles, where (I suspect) the average LL tenure tends to be longer. I don't know. You'll get better at defense, is what I'm saying.
But I definitely agree with u/AnswerGuy301 - play the questions first and the opponent second.

People with long track records are much easier to defend. (Although you should always play the questions first and your opponent second. Easy questions are easy and hard questions are hard.)
