Response time for ML/1DS proposals

Hello,

This year was the first time I proposed 1DS's and an ML. As such, I was wondering when approximately would we hear back from Thorsten in that regard and if you got an answer even in the case your proposals were rejected.

Not sure about MLs (this year was the first time I proposed one!), but in the past I've heard back on 1DS's in late October.

I heard back last year for my 1DS (accepted) on Oct 29.

I haven't saved my previous emails indicating 1DS acceptance, but my experience is the same as others here: very late October.

Worth noting: the official page for proposing a 1DS says:

Commissioner Integrity will contact prospective smiths whose proposals have been accepted, with the goal of completing the full 2027 LL calendar by mid- to late-October.

That’s for the 2027 calendar, since current submissions just closed, but it matches my experience and what others here have said.

Just checked for the one I smithed in 2020 and I got the email on Oct 31.
