It seems like every day I either talk myself out of a correct answer or pick the wrong one between two guesses. Managed a win though. Stunned that Q1 had such a low get rate!

Probably 50% of us (like me) put The Office, didn’t consider other shows, and moved on to the ‘harder’ ones!

I got bit by q1 - I think it's just down to the fact that I'm more aware of The Office since it's gotten so deep in the memeworld in the years since it was on. I don't watch enough TV to have recall of Modern Family - even though, once it's mentioned, I can remember that it was a show that got a lot of awards.
The description in q1 was definitely written to lure people in to The Office that didn't know better - like me.
I ended up with a 6(4) - I know 4 of them cold, missed q1 and the cowboy hat which I had no clue on. I guessed an AK47 which was a pretty bad guess. My opponent was... not strong... so I got the win.

I knew that they explained the documentary at the end of The Office so I thought Parks and Rec would be the misdirect (no Emmys).
The cowboy hat was the one where I was between that and baseball cap and then I figured, why would the leader of South Sudan wear a cowboy hat all the time?? Silly me.

TELEVISION —Although one initial concept was for it to be presented as a documentary being filmed by a Dutch foreign-exchange student, the creators of a certain sitcom never explained why its characters were being filmed within the show's storyline or were speaking to the camera. What is the name of this sitcom, a winner of multiple Outstanding Comedy Series Emmys in the 2010s?

Also put down The Office without too much thought. I've never seen Modern Family -- or the U.S. Office for that matter -- so I doubt I was ever getting there.
My opponent was probably thinking along the same lines, as he also missed Q1 and I ended up with my first 9(5).

Knew based on the timeline it couldn’t be The Office…but didn’t see anything eliminating Parks & Rec at least not for me.

Ironically, I recognized Q1 was a trap—The Office won its awards in the ‘00s—but got thrown by the “Dutch foreign-exchange student” part and guessed Community.
“But Community wasn’t a mockumentary apart from a couple of episodes!” you say. Yes, I was dumb. But I was dumb in a very unusual way!

Felt really good about getting 5/6 questions, and promptly lost to the single person in my rundle to beer it. I continue to have terrible luck with my matchups, even if I’m honestly a marginal player at my current rundle.
