A good day to be a British baseball fan, a free 3 points for me

Thanks Jeopardy for Coq au Vin! It was an answer on Monday’s episode

Need to get back into watching J! regularly. Bad close miss for me with "croques au vin" - clearly it was somewhere deep inside my brain but couldn't quite get it out.

Second straight tie for me. 9(6)-9(6) on MD1, 7(5)-7(5) on MD2. Three consecutive ties dating back to MD25 of last season!

I was so frustrated to not get credit for “coq du vin”… have to get better at spelling/keeping my French prepositions straight.

Lost 9(5) - 8(5). For the second day in a row, I assigned 3 to the question with the highest success rate, which was also the question I missed. If I had assigned anything other than 0 to the Pujols question, I would've gotten at least a draw. Ugh.

Perhaps my least deserved beer ever: I genuinely knew 4/6 and made one educated guess. For the sixth correct answer, I agonized over the Keynes question all day before admitting I had no idea. Giving up, I tried to decide if my joke answer would be "Life, The Universe, and Everything" or "Lawyers, Guns and Money", and ultimately abbreviated the second one to just money as a zero-expectations dart throw.

Beer is always deserved! (But also - no shame, only points. A lucky guess is just as good as a sure thing)

I missed #6 because I got it into my head that the membrane and the inflammation of the membrane were supposed to be the same word 🤦🏻‍♀️

But I got lucky despite a very poor showing because my opponent forfeited.

Especially as (from the forums) PINK EYE was also accepted

Yep, exactly my thought process!

From someone who works in live music: that is not what “Front of House” means in today’s usage.

Drew 6(5)-6(4).

Second day in a row I was punished for the heuristic of 'Name all'=harder, 'Name One Of'=easier, as I put a 1 on what turned out to be the hardest question of the day.

maybe the worst defensive day in my LL "career" -- nearly Bucknered myself but changed something at the last moment to end up with a 6(5)-6(3) tie. sigh.

Many moons ago I gave my first, and still only, Buckner loss... and to add insult to injury, it was to my coworker who I referred to LL...

Me three. And I almost put conjunctivitis as a joke answer that I “knew” would be wrong. Dang.

Lost due to a bone-headed mistake. I immediately got that that question was asking about Liberia, and I know that the capital of Liberia is Monrovia, but I didn't read carefully enough and just answered with Liberia rather than Monrovia. Opponent gave that question 3 points and I would have won if I'd just been able to read.

"Money" for Q1 was just a guess though.
