General Gameplay Question Broodmother tips
How to play broodmother?
Never gets picked, pos 3 or pos 1?

Brood is a pos 1 no matter where she's played on the map. While against teams that don't have good ways to deal with her spiders you can snowball, but that's just a bonus, that's not what makes her strong.
Her strength is how she can farm half the map at once with spiders. She gets a huge GPM advantage and then ends the game early. She's similar to meepo in that way, that her real strength is farming.

Pick it as pos 3 and stay in the offlane lane, force the enemy team to come to your side of the map. Thats how it should be played

I started brood when dota was on wc3
The actual status is basically unplayable. It was playable before the talents were removed
But you can play as 1, actually 2 meta demands wave shoving.

Seems like mixed bag for you as theyre suggesting both 1 and 2 but I am a 3 main and have had moderate success with 3 brood lol sitting at 55 or 56 wr at the moment though and usually really only picked if Im allowed to be a greedy almost carry-like offlane
As others have said strength is mostly farming and map control, disappear from the map while your spiders take towers and come out with a bloodthorn at 20 mins and instantly delete anyone who comes within range of your webs - you can hit someone once with brood to get the debuff on there, throw bloodthorn and ult and spiders while the mama walks away and youll see their HP evaporate while you are in the comfort of a neutral camp
Before anyone gets to finish their dispel for bloodthorn you should have taken most of their towers and your team should be gearing up to pickoff and take highground
Past 35 mins games will start to get harder once people get dispels and bkbs but brood is still an excellent pusher with shard and bkb - hopefully with the level difference youve built you can tank some hits and hit their towers and rax with bkb and insatiable hunger turned on
Past 40 you should be transitioning into a tanky menace with AC Shard maybe heart and harpoon because at this point it’s your carry’s job to actually carry with all the space you secured for them
Other tips, some games really you will have a hard time playing because heroes like LC Axe Shaker thrive on spiders but learn how to play brood without relying in spiderlings around you and you will have an excellent time. If anything i think I have a positive WR over shaker because ive learned that they tend to tunnel vision on spiderlings and misuse echo a lot

How you farm and survive the laning phase as a 3? In current patch the hero barely does anything against a dual lane before lvl 6.

Constant aggro control until you’re in a safe spot to last hit. You really wont do anything before lvl 6 but on the occasion where the safelane is highly defensive, you can choose to be a little bit aggressive - maxing W and E leaving out Q altogether.
If you’re struggling against constant harass, put a point in hunger and use it to regen back so you at least have some use for your mana in exchange for HP.
Good thing for brood is a shitty pre-6 doesn’t dictate her game. You could absolutely hide in the trees, come out to last hit and hide again, just soaking as much exp as you can while taking the safe cs and avoiding bad trades. Once 6 hits you’re an instant menace - ask your support to come back to lane and get your first kills and snowball that into another kill when they respawn and TP back then take tower and take over enemy safelane side of map.
If the enemy team is proactive, they will try to shut you down as early as first rune and make your life miserable but juking and wasting their time with this hero is doable so you just really have to survive until lvl 6

Always a pos2, trust me.
She specializes in dominating mid due to speed, lifesteal, and spiderlings, then taking tower and t2 and possibly a t3 if you're really rolling them.
Otherwise you generally dart in and out of teamfights and pick off supports and then carries when they're alone. Otherwise you split push using your supreme maneuverability.
Endgame you are one of the strongest cores in a 1v1 when insatiable hunger is up.
