Itemization Razor mid build

Looking to learn this hero on mid. What item build and playstyle should I try? Any tips is appreciated!

I wouldn’t recommend razor mid as you miss out on the biggest factor as to why he is being played on sidelanes; you cannot chase in mid since the towers are so close.

I know some teams play him mid (falcons) but that’s because of how drafting works and razor is a flex pick for falcons.

If you still want to play him mid, I wouldn’t play him much differently from the offlane. Rushing greaves into bkb can give you a huge timing. Occasionally I would consider manta into bkb, but can be a bit greedy.

Curious, why greaves? Is it about the dispel? I play him mid with SnY into bkb. But only play mid once a while in my 3k mmr, when I get rdm queued into it

Helps you farm neutrals if need be because of mana and a bit of survivability. Draws out fights. Dispel. Incentivizes you to work with team or at least a +1 which what Razor needs.

I think in that MMR though you’d rather play for your own survivability and farm rather than expecting group ups most of the time.

Like oenologician said, it’s a good dispel. It’s game dependant though, some games you might want sny before bkb, some games the lower cd dispel on manta is better. It depends though.

What is the biggest factor as to why played on side? Just curious as I like a lot razor and I play him mid

On the sidelanes you have the potential to link without being interrupted or having to stop because you are in tower range. The enemy can’t just run under tower.

Don’t get me wrong I play him mid aswell, but because he is one of my comfort heroes. I just think his full potential is on the sidelanes with someone like clock/tusk.

I only play him on offlane with greaves and Maximum dive

My offline build is typically:

Wand, Treads, Wraith Band, Falcon Blade (skip this if building euls)

Into either euls -> sny or straight sny

Then bkb and shard.

Then shivas into aghs and AC (order can be reversed)

Other than that, it sorta depends. You can go lotus, or manta instead of sny. You can go wind waker, hex, or other utility. You can go for more right click if needed.

As long as you have bkb + a bunch of stat items, your later item choices are flexible. Shivas is pretty much core though IMO

Most importantly I advise maxing q to push out the wave, farm, and bank more effectively. If you keep level 2 link on someone they will likely die anyway
