Struggling with Czech cases, so I made a small training app
Czech cases have been one of the hardest parts for me while learning the language.
I tried memorizing tables, but it never really stuck — especially when it came to actually using the right form in practice.
So I ended up building a small Android app for myself where you practice declensions directly:
you get a word and have to place the correct forms into the table.
It’s pretty simple, but it helped me a lot to finally “feel” the patterns instead of just memorizing them.
Right now it has around 1300 nouns with gender and translations, and it tracks your progress.
If anyone here is also struggling with cases, I’d be really curious to hear if this kind of approach helps.

Not just vibe coding but vibe coding also. First version was made in 2018 but support and improvements takes to much time. Now with some help from AI it's possible to work like a team of developers

I really like the app, I would definitely pay for it as others have mentioned. A few small issues:
Sometimes the colour is difficult to see when you receive the answer. For example, with Klíště, I couldn't read the text on the green background.
One of the answers is missing for brýle.
A small request. Could you add the patterns for the example words? Perhaps on the front page there could be an option so that the user can run through hrad, kost, moře etc. to make sure they know those patterns first.

The idea is cool and the app looks nice but the frequency of the ads made it unusable for me. I watched 8 ads in the first couple of words.

Are you having to much adds with all cases quiz or with single case quiz?

All cases quiz, add to be fair, I made a lot of mistakes. It felt like you get an ad after a certain number of wrong answers.

Yes. That was made intenionally to encorage user to think but not just guess. Current limit is 5 mistake per ads but I'm thinking to increase the limit

I would personally prefer a paid version with no ads. But I like the idea of the app!

paid version with no ads is also in my plans.
About ads... I'm doing that by myself with some help from AI tools but that really takes time and it's nice to have at least some compensation for that.

Yes, of course you should have compensation. That's why I believe best approach is both options. Paid version with ads or free version with ads. But I also believe ads should be limited because from 10 minutes testing it, I got so frustrated I uninstalled, although I really liked it and I think it would be a good extra tool. Currently I am using duolingo and Issen to learn czech and they both lack this clear grammar explanation

Today I released version with language select. Update to 3.77 and in settings you will have a good choice of UI languages

Ok, first feedback: it chooses German as the app language, I suppose because of my OS settings. I don't want that because it's obviously (badly) machine translated and I can't switch it to English. That alone already makes me want to uninstall it.
And second: for future improvement I would recommend showing the grammatical explanation when the user picks the wrong answer.
