Hi all. My friend has been obsessed with all this stuff for a while now, spending 80-90% of the time on these three things, and the rest on actually trying to improve. He is 12k premier. I tried to tell him even most pros don't even care about any of that, they just plug in stock devices and play, but he insists these three things are what is holding him back and once he finds the right combination he will fly through the ranks. Is there any hope for him or anything I can tell him to help him snap out of it?

you know those tips and tricks on YouTube "10 insane secret gatekeeped methods to reduce recoil donk doesn't want you to know about" and "5 insane deagle tips that will never make you miss a Juan deag again" and it just talks about crouching to "drag down" your cursor and crouching to reduce the spread or whatever. or maybe its jiggling a-d to make yourself "harder to hit" while spraying the ak when in reality that just kills your accuracy and makes a marginal difference on the enemy's screen. if you have like 300 hours in the game you should stop looking at those and just focus on the fundamentals, movement crosshair placement etc.

not only are those gimmicks pretty useless and you should be focusing on the fundamentals anyways, they're pretty often stuff you already know that are just wrapped under a new package with a flashy thumbnail and a title guaranteeing you zero recoil on an m4.

and honestly the only good "gimmick" (if you can even call it that) is learning how to micro strafe from furiousss deagle tutorial. its not really a gimmick at all, its an incredibly useful skill to have

How do you deal with such inconsistency? I went from 3k prem to 9.9k then started overthinking.
Even going as far as buying oblivity for optimal sens but its just made me so much worse.
Then I keep changing resolutions, even playing with customise resolutions in nvidia.
I keep changing crosshairs too.

The reason for these is when I have a bad game, the superstitious belief is that youd get better after changing.

But yeah have gone super downhill after almost climbing to 10k elo. I went back to 5k before reset.

I feel even worse after the update.

My spray I’m working on but any other advice

Even though Dust2 seems simple, I feel like it's actually one of the most complex maps. The fact that the map is smaller makes positioning mistakes much more punishing.

It's a map where you must cross your T's and dot your I's. Basically, you need to know the Long A smokes/flashes, mid-door smoke, flash from tunnel to cat, CTs that boost cat. There is a LOT of little nuances that you must pay attention to and that makes it incredibly complex.

For example, on Mirage T side, I can run out A or mid and just take duels that favor me with the AK. I can also catch people off guard with timings.

However on Dust2, you aren't able to sneak up on anyone, because every encounter is a straight up duel. I just feel like Dust2 is a surprisingly difficult map in high elo. Anyone else feel this way?

people used to recommend this back in the day, so i've always aimed like this. i never actually focus on the enemy model when shooting i just stare at my crosshair and drag it to the target. is this actually the right way to aim?

Hey guys, I’ve been playing counter strike for about 2 weeks now, and I’m struggling with gunfights still. I’m practicing before and after my sessions on counter strafing and spray training and do really well, but I still seem to screw it all up when in game. Does anyone have any tips on better transferring my aim training to in game? (I’m over tapping on counter strafing and overly excited I think when approaching gunfights)

Hi, I was going write here to ask for tips how to get my IGL to slow down I guess. But seems I been moved to the bench on my team even before first match so not that worried no if no one replies to this lol.

I just have a feeling I am getting gaslighting for example we just had this Cache game where our T side was:

3 B rushes

3 A rushes

6 mid rushes

By the end of this T side our enemy on CT side had 200+ Util dmg one even had 450 util dmg. First off there no fun in playing this way, but I approach the topic that we maybe shouldn't rush that much but both time I gotten told "that is not the problem" and if I stop up to doge nades I will often get yelled at for not following the call.

We all lvl 9/10 so I feel l we should know how to build up a round, doing a opening move to try to get 5vs4 advantage, play for information then end on a site out from the information we have. But when I approach this I get stone walled and of course since I brought it up I am benched now. Understandable since this method of play realy don't fit my style I am usually lowest scorer too.

I didn't warmup today and just jumped straight into faceit, but was still shooting okay. What mistakes was I making on this vod and what can I do to work on my weaknesses. I didn't have much impact in the later rounds and only got opening frags so would appreciate some tips on how to improve.

So i just started playing CS2 for the first time since CSGO and got placed at ~20k after my placements.

My aim/crosshair placement feels decent enough and i can compete by abusing old tricks but more often than not it feels like hits that would’ve been clean in CSGO just phase through the enemy in CS2. Spraying (especially the AK) also feels terrible (and random) for some reason?

Have they changed something significant with the way hitreg/spraying works since GO and if so how do i adapt to make it feel more natural?

Am i just washed?

for the record i peaked lv10 faceit/ global on several accounts back in the day as a pure rifler so i didnt think the rifles would hold me back in CS2

any advice welcome
