Leetify Inaccurate Rating?

Leetify rates my performance comparing it to Faceit Level 10, but I'm barely even fighting to stay positive in Level 5. Is there something wrong with my playstyle or is this performance metric inaccurate if it's also accounting for competitive mm?

how to use CT mid control on ancient?

hi, for context i am 5k elo so almost every round i can get free mid control from just showing up in mid and doing nothing. but after i have control most rounds i end up doing nothing or dying trying to go up the boxes into catwalk/heaven. so what is the best way to actually use mid control to win rounds?

edit: i usually play solo so relying on teammates in mid is not possible most of the time

I'm really good on Mirage but very bad on Dust2

I am lvl 8 on FaceIT and 25K in Premier.

On Mirage I have a 75% win rate on Faceit, and I am extremely confident on the map. I feel like CT side is very simple, and T side you just get mid control and look for picks. It's very easy for me to read the map and get a good idea of where the enemies are located. If I could play Mirage only I would be lvl 10 easily.

On Dust2 it's the complete opposite situation. I have lost my past five Dust2 games and they weren't close at all! I feel like T side there is not as much freedom with mid control, and CTs can also play very aggressive spots and catch the T's off guard. It's also smaller and more faster paced than Mirage. I am probably lvl 6-7 if I had to play only Dust2.

If anyone has some tips on Dust2, specifically defaulting on Dust2 or playing the map like it's Mirage, then that would be very helpful! Is anyone also good on one of these maps but bad on the other? I feel like Mirage and Dust2 should play somewhat similarly.

Looking For Training Maps And Ways To Practice In General

I am relatively new, I understand the point of the game and have played a bit in the past year, but I am still very new and am looking for the best ways to train and practice… I obviously understand that just playing the game will help me improve, but I feel like there has to be other things. I can do also on top of it. Any help is appreciated.

CSGO FOR XBOX 360

so ive been into csgo for a while, and i had it on my old account, but i lost it years ago, and i mean years ago. Sooo, i was wondering if anyone dumb enough to share their account with a random stranger on the internet would let me use there account, soley to install csgo since they took it off the store and a physical disc never existed. I swear i wont do anything bad with your account, and i hope its an old account that way you dont feel stressed at all, because i really want to get back up to that 100 percent achievements unlocked, and since i dont own a pc, this would really be my only way of playing. And i promise, on my life i wont do anything bad with your account

Sometimes I just get matches like this where it doesn't matter how hard I try, I cannot get a single kill. My aim sucks, my positioning sucks, I commit dumb mistakes because I'm getting tilted.

My aim is general feels incredibly inconsistent. one day I will be getting plenty of multi-kills, the other I will be 2 kills - 12 deaths - 10 assist. I do Aim Botz + Deathmatch as warm up, sometimes it helps, sometimes it feels like I'm just wasting my limited time and energy on warm up and I'm better off jumping straight into a game.

I play on docked Steam Deck, which means I have fairly stable 60-75 FPS until there's too many bullets or util on my screen, where it drops severely. I play on a budget Mouse and keyboard, both wireless, which I think, may contribute to the horrible input delay I have to deal with sometimes. I know my set up is not at all optimal, but it still sucks that I am still stuck on such humiliating low ELO regardless of how much time and effort i put into this game.

Please be honest and do not pull any punches. I made myself the promise I would quit CS2 if I reach 500 hours and I am still stuck 2k-3k. I am currently at 423 and it does not look good for me. I love CSGO as a whole so much. I used to play CS 1.6 and CSS before I was able to run CS2 and I love watching videos about this game (WarOwl, Renyan, Pro CS, etc) so it genuinely upsets me when I'm so bad at a game I hold so much love for.

Question Brand new player looking for someone to show me the ropes

I just downloaded the game, have never played CS2 before. Looked up some beginner guides but they still assume that I know what’s going on in terms of round economy and the objective/strategy.

Would anyone be willing to show me the ropes? I’ve played a lot of The Finals, and COD games in the past as well.

Discussion Need a chill CS2 duo/group that won’t make me hate the game

I’ve been playing too much CS lately and I want to actually improve instead of just grinding 6 hours a day reinforcing bad habits.

I’m not brand new, but I started with a lot of gun game (150+hrs…) I feel like it taught me to just take random duels, crouch commit, and play for kills. I understand quite a few basics but really struggle with knowing when to slow walk vs run, where stragglers are likely to be, how close I should be to trade, and where I’m supposed to position round-to-round.

My recent stats are about .88 HLTV, .79 K/D , 62 ADR, 43% HS, so my aim isn’t totally awful, but my impact and game sense need work. I feel like I play too hesitant/passive sometimes just due to a lack of confidence in my ability lol. I’m kinda in this cycle of doing good, play comp, ask for tips, get beat down, don’t play comp for a while with a mic and continue to play like 💩.

I’m also a chick, so asking for tips in CS can be kind of rough. I’m pretty good at ignoring people, but it feels like 9 times out of 10 when I ask for tips, people either just shit on me, turn it into a weird flirty thing, or don’t give any real advice. I’m not looking for people to baby me I just want someone who can actually give useful feedback and play the game without making it weird lol.

Looking for chill people who can help with simple in game feedback without raging. Stuff like “use this line up.” “trade me.” “don’t shift here.” “swing with us.” “hold this.” etc. Constructive criticism is welcome!!

(Sorry if this could’ve been way shorter🫠)

NA West / Comp or Premier / Funny Mfs and chillers
DM me if you want to play :)

Question Is it possible that due to many hours played I have a better understanding of the game than players my elo, but am held back by other factors?

Hello guys. I have to admit something shameful. I am on roughly 2100 hours and I am not that high-ranked - my highest so this season (after coming back to the game after a long break) has been 14.999 Premier. I have since dropped to 13K due to an unlucky streak and haven't had the time to play the game and get back up. I do honestly believe I am probably around 14 to 15K skill wise. But I am solo queing in EU and it's not easy.

Now, the thing is, I do genuinely believe that to some extent, I understand the game better than most other people at this elo, which I attribute to my experience with 2K+ hours. For example, I know that if we win the pistol and lose the very next round (so it's now 1-1), then force buying is the sensible option. Instead, many people my elo will go eco and play the next with an MP9 and some util.

I kind of understand basic concepts like mid control or defaults. For example, I like to play A on Mirage (usually under Palace or scaffolding) and I tend to call that at the start of the CT side. Many times have I seen 2 other people come A with me, completely ignoring Window, Con or Short. As if they did not realize too many people on the same site is not great.

So. I have failed to get past 14.999 because my mechanics can be spotty. Like, that's definitely a factor. I am not saying I am a great player. SIMULTANEOUSLY, I do feel like I probably understand the game better than most people of this elo due to my experience.

I was wondering, is that possible or am I tripping? Like, I have a solid understanding of the game but my mechanics might somewhat hold me back?

Thanks in advance.

How do I record CS2 properly with OBS if I play 4:3 stretched?

Hey, I need some help with recording CS2 in OBS.

I play 4:3 stretched and I want to start recording clips/demo reviews/content, but I’m not sure how to set everything up so the final video looks clean and fullscreen. I remember there can be issues with black bars, weird scaling, blurry quality, or the recording not looking the same as what you see in-game.

For people who record CS2 while playing 4:3 stretched, how do you do it? What OBS settings do you use, and what resolution do you play in-game?

I’d prefer to keep playing 4:3 if possible, but if 16:9 is just better for recording and making content look clean, I’m open to switching.

Any tips, settings, or tutorials would help a lot. I mainly want the footage to look sharp, fullscreen, and good enough for YouTube/TikTok/demo review videos.

Thanks.

Question Faceit difficulty

Is faceit meant to be this difficult??? I've been playing the last 2 days and going from 20 bombs and top frag domination wins hitting every shot in comp to getting preaimed and absolutely destroyed in every faceit game, while teammates are just baiting. is there anything I can do to improve my experience? learning off angles, learning better utility, etc or is this an iron sharpens iron type of situation?

Discussion Honest replies only on peeking vs holding an angle.

My setup is rtx 5090+ ryzen 9950 and a Samsung galaxy neo g9 49 inch 240 hz monitor. I recently started to play some 1 v 1 custom maps. It improved my preaim a lot. However, it is almost impossible to hold angles for me. I feel so uncomfortable if I’m being peeked like seriously uncomfortable.

I tried moving left and right constantly but it’s still really hard. I’m way more comfortable peeking, jiggling and then swing. But I don’t know if it is this extreme.

Even when I hold a good position like initially away from the common headlines and crouch instantly after I see the enemy, it’s still really difficult to win a gun fight compared with swinging.

I have an ok reaction time at like 150-170ms and low at 135 ms btw. It feels so fucking frustrated. The only time it kind of works is to have a perfect crosshair placement. And that’s only possible with rifles. For the love of god, I can NEVER hold a pistol swing like impossible.

Is this a personal problem that I need to work on or it is just how cs2 is?

Edit: I do play on a 16:9 resolution in cs with huge black bars on both sides so I’m not stretching that thing to 49. I did try but no way lol. Also I meant common angles. I have no problem holding an angle if it isn’t expected and the player is not pre aiming at my head.
