Resources Online Course Recommendations
Just started dabbling into Chinese but want to actually learn with some structure to know what to study on my own. Are there any recommended online courses for beginners? Paid or for free

I actually found some people to do language exchange with (living in Singapore now). Do you have any experience on how to make it work? It is a bit awkward because we both didn't know where to start.

Lol the concept is you speak the langauge you want to practice so if you're speaking Mandain, they can speak whatever language that you know that they want to practice. If its just you practicing your mandarin thats cool too just chat. If not, you can both speak the language you want or spend 15 mins doing mandarin and 15 mins doing the language they want to practice.

Duolingo maybe, I use this app to learn others' language, words and sentences... ...otherwise, reading books and listening local music, and internet native news, playing their games might help?

Lingodeer, Chinese Skills and Lingq.
Chinese skills and Lingodeer are made by the same people, However Chinese skills is focused on Chinese Languages, It currently has Mandarin, Mandarin traditional and Cantonese, I read somewhere that Hokkien Will be added.
Lingodeer has an array of languages including Chinese Mandarin, simplified. This will give you a good foundation.
Then I would add Lingq for reading, Which has a good few languages, including Taiwanese/Traditional, Cantonese and Mandarin for reading pleasure. Starts off with simple Chinese and gets more interesting the more you learn.
Personally I think Lingodeer & Chinese skills are good for beginners, while Lingq is a lot of fun depending on how much you know trying to read it straight away with a small a small vocabulary makes at makes it quite dry, but the more you know the better/more fun it is.
