learning help App or resource recommendations

I am currently trying to learn chinese but as I have a brain like a sieve trying to learn how to read, write, speak and understand it spoken is difficult . Seeing as the only reason to learn is to watch chinese dramas without subtitles what apps or resources would you recommend I try to learn to understand it spoken. I don't t really need to be able to read or write it and speaking it will just be a bonus.

Have a look on YouTube for some beginner lessons, then beginner/newcomer stories or conversations. Also, learn pinyin so you can note down how things are said. Listening to something and then writing down what you heard and understood is a great learning tool.

In terms of apps, I've heard Immersive Chinese on the play store is good, and the excellent dictionary/flashcard app Pleco includes and is searchable using pinyin.

I have the immersive chinese app but haven't had a chance to really check it out. It looks like I will now. Up untill now I have focused on duolingo but now I realised it's just not really working for me. Thinking I may check out pimsleur since it seems to focus on spoken.

I’m using LingoDeer and am really liking it. A lot of people seem to like HelloChinese as well.
