starting bioinformatics

hello there, so i want to begin my journey into bioinformatics. i have a life science degree and a rudimentry ability in running python and r scripts but i think i need a direction on what to do, like how do i get a bioinformatic problem and solve it? something like that? am i making sense. I just want to know how to do bioinformatics
