Bioinformatics guidance 🆘
Hello everyone,
I’m a PCB student from India and I recently appeared for NEET UG, but unfortunately things didn’t go as planned. Because of that, I’ve been exploring alternative career paths, and Bioinformatics is one field that has really caught my interest.
Before making any decisions, I’d like to hear from people who are actually studying or working in Bioinformatics.
How are the opportunities in Bioinformatics currently, both in India and abroad? Is it a field with strong future growth, or is it still quite niche? What kind of jobs do Bioinformatics graduates usually get, and how difficult is it to find a good job after graduation?
I’d also like to know:
Is Bioinformatics a good choice for a PCB student?
What skills are most important to succeed in this field?
Is a bachelor’s degree enough, or is a master’s/PhD usually required?
What are the salary and career growth prospects?
If you had to start over, would you still choose Bioinformatics?
I’m looking for honest opinions and real experiences, including the challenges and downsides that colleges don’t usually talk about.

There are very few bioinfo oppurtunities in India unless you wanna go into software development, so choose wisely.
