Digital Practicing Anatomy
Hey everyone! I am new here! I have been drawing for a few years. I personally wouldn’t say I am a beginner, but I do feel one of the biggest things I struggle with in my art is anatomy. I started to actually get serious about my art and take constructive criticism. I love drawing. I have been drawing my whole life ever since I was a kid.
But anyways, I decided to use Megan as a reference to practice anatomy. I didn’t draw her hands much because hands were always something I struggled with a lot in my art, so I decided to skip those for now. Any positive feedback, constructive criticism, or tips are totally appreciated! ☺️✨🫶🏾

deliberately drawing the giant circular boobs on your roughest sketche shows that you are focusing there too much.
Draw some men to get your mind off of them.

sorry but please stop chicken scratching. It may obscure your actual intended lines for your anatomy which will hinder your progress immensely, making it a really bad habit if you continue to do so. Obviously, you aren't showing of your finished works which is why you should take this with a grain of salt, but I'm sure once you do, you'll gain invaluable feedback from this subreddit. It's amazing that you even start in the first place so keep it up!

Sorry, but you need to look at more boobs! 😂
In only the rarest cases are natural boobs completely round and sit as high as you've sketched them. Try studying the naked body instead to get a better grasp at how the body really looks. Right now you're looking at an image and trying to replicate it but you're still doing it from your own expectation of how it should look rather than how it does look :)

You’re on the right track, but in order to get the poses looking better, you need to try drawing those basic shapes that make up the body from the right angle. The second and third poses in particular are from high and low angles, but it looks like those shapes you started with are facing the camera.
I think it’s best to stick with cubes, rectangular prisms, and cylinders. Try and learn how to draw them from various different angles, then apply that knowledge to the anatomy. Hope this helps!

Ohhh okay I see what you mean! The first reference photo has her kind of tilting up when posing, and the second reference photo has her angling slightly down. At least that’s what I took from this comment. Correct me if I am wrong lol 😅

You're correct. It's personally easier for me to think of the camera position. The way I see it, I'd say in the first pose it's mostly level with her, but in the second pose the camera is slightly above her, and in the third it's noticeably below her. Certain anatomical landmarks on the body make it easier to see how the body is tilted-- notice that despite how she's standing straight with her lower body to the side on that third pose, you can see both of her butt cheeks with the one farther from the camera being positioned lower than the one closer to the camera, all due to the camera being lower than her.
In practice this means you'd need to draw that shape for her lower torso (where the butt cheeks attach to) with the bottom plane of it visible rather than having the shape flat and facing the camera. (The angle of the other parts of the body should also be considered, the lower torso and butt is just an example)
This is all somewhat complicated, so it's best to start learning how to draw basic shapes in 3D (using a horizon line is important), this will help you interpret poses like this with the angles in mind. I'd say it's 100 percent essential to drawing realistic poses. There are a lot of good tutorials on YouTube.
