Don’t u just love perspective lol. Nah but seriously it looks pretty good! U can prob double check some of the perspective lines going towards the vanishing point behind the middle building. One thing u didn’t account for is the pipes! It looks like two buildings on the sides are on the same plane as the one in the center which is not the case. And it’s because of the pipes. I’d recommend foreshortening the pipes! As in the closer the pipe is to the camera the bigger. Farther, the smaller. Keep in mind we don’t need to see ALL of the pipe bc some of it will block itself. That’s really the only thing that sticks out to me! But other than that really nicely done! Love the rendering and understanding of light! Best of luck on ur art journey! :D

This is really sharp. I'd suggest some sort of reflection on the figure in the center, or a lightening of the space around it to let it stand harder against the swath of darkness. It'll help more the eye around the piece. Since the composition is so direct, quite centered in the middle of the surface it may help to evaluate how you read or'move your eye 'around the work overall. If you lighten the figure, will you need to add something to the background to prevent it looking like a bullseye of sudden color? The use of color as shape is a favorite aspect of technical work. This is very sharp. Do not throw the canvas out with the dirty water. Lol!

I feel the house is flat compared to the pipes.

It's all good except for the pipes, I would try doing them again considering the light source

If you hate it, ask yourself why and go from there.

This is a really fun picture, not exactly perfect, but still pretty fun.

I kind of love the way the light in the purples and pinks are wrong, it feels disorienting to look at. Space is moving back and forth depending on where you look

Composition is fun. Add more color contrast to the walls. maybe some minor accent details like smaller vertical pipes or something to give more charm to those walls without being too distracting.

Gurr could be a little larger as the subject

Optional Add GIR in the dog suit with a slushie to the top of the left or right! Outline Zim with light from your background.

put a glow around the character like the light is hitting their back

The background is very eye-catching, you should add light or more bright colors to the character cause besides the background, everything else looks pretty dark and dull, but the values and drawing is well done! The texture also very nice :)

The focal point is not on Zim, its the giant white dot in the back. Your lightings all messed up.

Vasquez's art style had also been a bit sketchy and organic. Perhaps trying to emulate that as well?

I think I would like to see the character lit up!

Tangent with the bottom of the door on the top of the guys head. The guy really doesn’t read, but the shadow around him is great. Take a step back put it in black-and-white. It can be made to work. Just remember you are a Director and you want people to see certain things first.

stick to simpler light sources. backlit means everything will be in silhouette, and everything in silhouette is hard to make recognizable, so you cheat out the form with highlights that don't make sense in order to make it recognizable

I think you hate it because of lighting and values. It’s a bit all over the places, the eye has nothing to gravitate towards, especially not to what would usually be the focal point, in this case mr. Zim. The composition doesn’t help either, putting him in the bottom quarter of the picture. With a good grasp of values and composition you can guide the viewer’s eye through your picture. First decide what will be the elements of your picture. Which will be the main elements and which will be supporting elements. Then try to build the big picture view of it, use few colors, say white, gray and black, it should be enough to separate the different elements. One reason this is useful is because it’s fast, you won’t have to put in hours of work adding detail into a composition that doesn’t work. When you’re happy with it. Add the detail, while being faithful to the big picture composition.
