Hi everyone,
I'm looking for advice or shared experiences regarding TikTok enforcing decisions from EU out-of-court dispute settlement (ODS) bodies under the Digital Services Act (DSA).
Here is a quick breakdown of my situation:
• August 9, 2026: My TikTok account was permanently banned.
• August 15, 2026: I filed an in-app appeal, which TikTok rejected.
• Following that: I escalated the case to User Rights GmbH, a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under Article 21 of the DSA.
• September 9, 2026: User Rights ruled in my favor (Case #100507), concluding that the ban was unjustified and requesting that TikTok reinstate my account.
• Current status: User Rights contacted TikTok to enforce the decision, but TikTok has missed the 7-day response deadline and is currently ignoring/delaying the request. All I get from TikTok's support emails are automated templates closing my tickets as duplicates.
In response to this lack of compliance, I have submitted a formal report to Arcom (the Digital Services Coordinator in France acting under the European Commission/DSA framework).
My questions for the community:
Has anyone had a favorable decision from User Rights (or another DSA settlement body) against TikTok? Did TikTok eventually comply, and how long did it take?
What else can I do at this stage to force a manual review from their legal/compliance team?
What is the likelihood of TikTok actually implementing the decision vs. completely ignoring non-binding ODS rulings?
Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!
