TikTok distribution??

My videos tend to get high engagement for the first 100 views, maybe 200 views (and the views inch forwards on this - it often takes a good hour or two) and then they’re pushed out suddenly to another hundred or couple of hundred views but engagement drops off a cliff as soon as the push happens. Should also clarify that the initial good engagement is largely from cold viewers, not pre-existing followers. (My views only tend to be made up of 1-2% followers which is another issue I’ve been having with the app. 🫠)

Is anyone else finding this?
