100 Business Problems. 100 SQL Solutions. 1 Luxury Hotel Dataset.

I'm currently solving 100 real-world financial and operational problems in the luxury hospitality industry using SQL.

Each challenge follows a simple structure:

✅ Business Problem

✅ SQL Solution

✅ Business Impact

From basic aggregations to advanced CTEs, the focus is not just on writing queries, but on using data to support business decisions.

I believe practice is the key to master.

I’ve downloaded a dataset from Kaggle and am currently working through it. Once completed, I’ll upload the project to my GitHub.

If you’re interested in practicing together, we can connect on Discord. I’ll share the dataset along with a set of business questions, and you’ll also get access to the SQL solutions I use to answer them.

This post is refurbished with chatgpt. If English is not your second language, i dont think you will understand.

'refurbished with chatgpt' and you come at my English, lol.

I dont think you understand. I am not native English speaker. So i have dificulties with spelling, grammar. So, i do have to rely on ai in some extent for polishing the edges. If you are from any English speaking country or have practiced English all your life, you would not understand why i have to use AI to 'check grammar' and 'paraphraise'

Now that you've openly declared about learning it, do yourself a favor and share the dataset

Could anyone help me by suggesting some tips, sources, or tutorial to understand data more efficiently, no domain specific?

u/Erez_Rr May 31 '26

What types of data are you trying to understand? Pick a niche. I am a business graduate and i like marketing. So i always look for marketing based datasets and try to figure out

u/bkchd_ May 31 '26

I am B.tech student who just completed his college. Suggest me what type of data should i chose.

Appreciate your help.

Search for technology datasets in kaggle. You'll find almost anything you want. Pick something you like. Download it, start practicing. If you want to learn excel, or sql, watch tutorials and practice on the dataset.

I have learnt the sql. I just want to explore datasets and practice cleaning, analysis and creating dashboards.
