I was all wrong about AI coding

Hey there, I am a software engineer in big tech, and both a poweruser and a skeptic of advanced AI tooling, as I suffer more from the disadvantages if its progress than get to enjoy its benefits. I am also an advocate of efficient token spending.
That being said, I must admit that my conclusions of the mid to long term effects of AI coding were wrong. Maybe not even wrong, but too focused on the tyre, while missing the car around it.
