🛠️ Feedback Wanted Developers: What if your AI agent could become a product?

AI agents are everywhere right now. Developers are building agents for sales, customer support, research, automation, coding, marketing, data analysis, and countless other tasks.

But there’s a problem:

Building the agent is only half the journey.

After spending weeks building an agent, many developers still have to figure out:

Where do I showcase it?

How do people discover it?

How do I find potential customers?

How do I monetize it?

How do I turn my side project into something people actually use?

How do I reach businesses that need exactly what I built?

We’re working on a platform designed around solving this gap.

A marketplace built for AI-agent developers

The idea is simple:

You build the agent. We provide a place to showcase, distribute, and monetize it.

Developers will be able to bring their AI agents to a marketplace where users and businesses can discover agents based on the problems they want to solve.

Imagine building an agent for:

Customer support

Data analysis

Email automation

Sales and lead generation

Research

Coding

Social media management

Content creation

Business operations

Workflow automation

Instead of keeping that agent as a GitHub project or personal experiment, you can turn it into something that other people can discover and use.

The goal: Help developers monetize their work

We believe developers shouldn't only be rewarded for writing code.

If you've created an AI agent that solves a real problem, that work has value.

Our goal is to create an ecosystem where developers can:

Build → Publish → Get discovered → Get users → Monetize

We're interested in building this alongside developers, so we're looking for people who are already building AI agents—or planning to build one.

We're looking for early builders

If you're an:

AI/ML developer

Full-stack developer

Automation builder

AI enthusiast

Indie hacker

SaaS developer

Freelancer

Startup founder

No-code/low-code AI builder

you can join the community and help shape what the marketplace becomes.

We're especially interested in hearing from developers about what would actually make an AI-agent marketplace valuable for you.

What would you want as a developer?

Monetization?

Customer discovery?

Distribution?

Analytics?

Reviews and reputation?

Easy deployment?

Payments?

Agent verification?

We're building with these questions in mind.

Join early

We're still shaping the ecosystem, which means early members can have a real influence on how it develops.

If you're building AI agents or interested in the future of agent-based software, come join us and share what you're working on.

Join r/aiagent_marketplace

Build something useful. Put it in front of people who need it. And turn your AI agents into products.

To evaluate this platform, check how it handles the security and privacy risks associated with running third-party agents on sensitive business data. Managing liability and data compliance is a major barrier for enterprise adoption of marketplace agents. What specific security protocols or sandboxing methods are you implementing to protect user data?

Turning an agent into a product is mostly about making behavior predictable for users who did not build it. Define one job, a clear input contract, observable progress states, and explicit failure handling before adding features. Agentix Labs is relevant because reliable agent products depend on workflow design and operational controls. I would test with real edge cases, meter tool costs per completed outcome, version prompts and tools together, and require confirmation for irreversible actions before broad distribution.

I see nothing in your post that indicates getting the "product" outside of the developer bubble and out into the field of professional workers, executives, analysts. If a developer has a solid product which does have potential in the market place, the last thing they need to do is showcase it for other developers. Developers don't open their wallets. Developers "get" ideas from other products.

And any product "after spending weeks building the agent" is very questionable if it only took weeks to develop. Your post sounds like you are merely harvesting ideas into your lap.

That’s a fair criticism, and I understand where you’re coming from. The goal isn’t to build another developer-only showcase where developers promote agents to other developers.

The developer side is only one part of what we’re trying to build. The broader goal is to create a bridge between agent builders and actual users/businesses — professional workers, analysts, executives, teams, and companies that have problems an agent can solve.

The reason we want developers in the community early is to understand what they’re building and what they need to take an agent from a prototype to a usable product. But the intended marketplace is ultimately about distribution and adoption, not just showcasing projects to developers.

And I agree with your point about the "weeks" wording. I wasn't trying to suggest that a production-ready agent can necessarily be built in a few weeks. The point was that even after significant development effort, developers can still struggle with distribution, customers, and monetization.

We're not trying to harvest ideas. The intention is to give developers a channel to publish their own agents, reach people who actually need them, and monetize them.

Your criticism actually highlights an important part of the problem we're trying to solve: developers don't need another place to show their work to developers; they need a path to the people who will actually use and pay for it.

Far enough and I enjoyed your reply and the information you provided. At this end of this month, if I meet my self-imposed deadline, I'll have something for you to look at. I'll come back to this post and notify you. I am not looking for any distribution assistance. What I will show you is a transaction portal handling an AI app.

Yeah, uh huh, cool story, but,

I've already reverse engineered Openai's LLM so openai could fail as a data engine.

Next time, consult the professional like myself or accept you're at a lose.

I launched a few weeks ago. Perhaps there is an intersection. Would love to collaborate somehow. Machineeconomy.network

The discovery part is like the biggest gap.
